My gcc loves it i know sometimes they make things look bigger in picture but this is worth it its a great size i was surprised i will be buying more toys from this company ty
Size plays an important role and it's perfect for my pet conure. This toy lasts bout 4-5 months because well they like playing with and destroying stuff. I put mine on his cross bar so he can rub against it. As for safety well remove the destroyed bits when you find them and also tie up the long string or cut it when it gets exposed so they don't injure themselves.
I've had this toy for 2 years now. Though my conure has chewed on several of the wood pieces, he mainly enjoys climbing onto the toy for acrobatics and using it as a makeshift swing!I originally bought two so I'd have a back up toy, but the first one is still in great condition.**Note: The dyes used on the wood are super heavy, so I ran both toys (kept fully intact) under warm, running water for a while, rubbing gently. Then I let them dry completely. It's still colorful, but doesn't turn my bird's water bowl into a rainbow if a small piece happens to fall in.
With a lot of birds, new toys are often ignored for weeks or months or even ever. My Quaker ignored this for a while until one day he was having at with it. Just have many toys available, you'd be surprised how they switch from one to another. The price on this was good and it's a pretty substantial toy.
I feel like this toy was a steal! It's a really good size, made with ropes and not the elastic-y stuff that my bird can cut in one chop. She loves biting on the wood pieces which is good for help keeping their beaks trimmed down and is a big fan of the pacifiers. It's holding up very well and for the price point I ended up ordering another one when she's able to destroy this one!
