Nekton Biotic-Bird is a water-soluble probiotic that keeps your bird's digestion on track. Its beneficial bacteria and prebiotic yeast cell walls support a healthy gut flora, while added electrolytes help birds bounce back after stress, illness or antibiotic treatment.

Zootechnical Additive:

Bacillus subtilis C-3102, min. 100 billion CFU/kg

Dextrose, brewer's yeast cell walls (contains mannan-oligosaccharides and beta-glucans), brewer's yeast (100% Saccharomyces cerevisiae, inactive), sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium hydrogen carbonate.

Directions For Use:

Mix 1 level scoop (1 g, enclosed) daily into 100 g (3.5 oz) of soft food or 100 ml (3.4 fl oz) of water.
General course: once a day for up to 12 weeks, twice a year.
Tonic: 2 to 3 times a week, year round.
During breeding and molting: 1 to 2 times a week.
After illness, antibiotics or medication: up to 7 days in a row.
Young birds (from 5 weeks): 1 g per 200 g of soft food or 200 ml of water; increase to the standard dose from 3 months of age.

Storage:

Store dry and out of direct sunlight at 59°–77°F (15°–25°C).
Do not store in the refrigerator.
Keep the container tightly closed between uses.

Very Helpful!

My little boy parakeet had been having some diarrhea for a couple of days (unusual for him) but otherwise, he seemed to be feeling fine (eating, playing, etc.) so I searched online to see if I might try something "over the counter" before scheduling a vet visit. One of the products recommended was Nekton Probiotic and since I've already been using their vitamins for my parakeets for years, I purchased this and am so happy that I did. I did not quite make up this product to full strength as per the instructions (as was afraid he might not drink the water if it was too concentrated, plus I change his water dish several times a day) so instead I just put a generous sprinkle over his water with every water change and he was better within a day and completely back to normal (no more diarrhea) within two days. From now on, I plan to always keep this product on-hand.

I use this for my African Gray who intermittently has diarrhea issues.

Works wonders

I was a bit hesitant at first with this as my grey is very picky. She took to it mixed in with her water right away and seems to have no adverse affects. I've noticed a change in her feces not smelling anymore, better crop activity and a better overall disposition since starting on this supplement.

Nekton-Biotic-Bird: Nekton Probiotic Supplement for Birds with Electrolytes

This product was highly recommended to me by my exotic animal doctor for my special needs African Gray parrot (33 yr) since Valley Ag stopped making Bene Bac probiotic which was pulled off the market. It is made in Germany and distributed in the US. I just mix 1 scoop of odorless powder in a certain amount of water which she has no problem drinking. It can also be mixed with food if you prefer. No more measuring to give orally. Nekton is easy, safe and healthy for your bird!! Thank God there is a good replacement to keep you feather baby healthy!!! It should be stored in a dry area, out of sunlight & not refrigerated.

I got a large amount of vitamins for my birds to take and the breeder start and the booster I still got a few more things to buy before I have to complete set vitamins are like full strength and they do a lot better when they're all mixed up together sometimes you're lacking one vitamin so you have to increase it the birds are pretty well destroyed from the red dust mites it's going to take some while to get them build back up it is overwhelming the work that I did into my birth and trying to manipulate that with the housework and responsibilities

Excellent and fair price

Excellent quality for birds for a probiotic. The price is very decent and my birds seem to adapt to it when I sprinkle it on their wet food. My friend who is a bird rehabber also uses this but she administers it by hand especially to her sick Birds. She mixes it with water I'm not sure in what proportion. It is an excellent product.
