Roudybush California Blend Medium, 44 oz (2.75 lb / 1.25 kg)

California Blend combines Roudybush Daily Maintenance pellets with dried peaches, apricots, plums, bell peppers, carrots, tomatoes and cabbage. The added fruit and vegetables make it a good transition diet when switching birds to Roudybush pellets. It also works well as everyday food for adult birds that aren't breeding.

Best for: Conures, Amazons, African greys, small cockatoos and dwarf macaws.

Pellet size: Medium

Guaranteed analysis: Crude protein 11.0% min · Crude fat 6.0% min · Crude fiber 3.5% max · Moisture 12.0% max

Good to know: Lories and lorikeets tend to have drier droppings on this diet than on nectar. African greys prone to low calcium may do better on a mix with Roudybush breeder pellets. Ask your avian vet.

Frequently asked questions

Is Medium the right size for my bird? Medium suits conures through small cockatoos. Cockatiels and smaller birds usually do better on Small or Mini.

How long does a 44 oz bag last? About 4–6 weeks for one African grey or Amazon, and longer for a single conure. Store the opened bag somewhere cool and dry.

How do I switch my bird to pellets? Mix California Blend with the current food and increase it gradually over 4 weeks.

Can I mix it with Daily Maintenance? Yes. California Blend is Daily Maintenance pellets with dried produce added.

Feed Roudybush California Blend Medium as the sole diet for your bird. Do not add vitamins or minerals to the diet. Offer fresh, clean water daily. Introduce gradually by mixing with your bird’s current food over 1–2 weeks, increasing the amount of Roudybush each day until it becomes the only food offered. Discard uneaten food daily and adjust the amount fed to maintain a healthy body weight.

Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. Keep sealed in original packaging and use by the “Use By” date. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to 3 years or freeze for up to 6 years, allowing the food to return to room temperature before feeding.
