I like it because it is a good quality seed mix.

I have multiple birds. I didn't see a 20lb option but that would help with people who feed multiple birds. Other than that, no bugs, no dust, and my birds like it.

I generally do my own seed/veggie/pellet mix for my parrot, and I use the Volkman Seed Featherglow as a main part of that mix. I have used other seed mixes, but they do not have the same ingredients and I end up throwing away more than what she is eating.

My blue and gold macaw is very picky. This is the only brand and mix he likes where he eats all of it. With others, he picks what he only liles and i'm left with most of it still in his cup.

My Red Lored Amazon loves it and it's a high quality feed. Of course I give her a diet of half fresh fruit and veggies half seed mixture. I rotate her seed too so I'm always trying new stuff. Volkman is one of my favorites.

I have used this product for my Green Winged Macaw before and find it better than most the other seed mixes out there. I am very satisfied with the product.

Good nutrition for my bird.

This has helped my blue and gold grow her feathers over the past 4 months. Although there are not many nuts and bananas in some of the bags.

I got this mix for my Hahn's macaw, the smallest of the macaw family. The "small hookbill" mix was too fine for her, so I decided to try the "large hookbill" mix. The only problem was I have to shell some of the nuts that are too big for her. I wish there was a "medium" size mix. My bird loves this mix nevertheless. The sunflower seeds in it at the lower-fat light colored ones, her favorite food.I've always considered this brand to be quite good. They do warn that it is not a complete diet, which is true of all seed-type mixes.

My macaw absolutely loves this food and actually eats it instead of throwing most of it on the floor like other kinds I've bought. I do add extra pellets to it just so she gets the extra vitamins and calcium. But it's not needed.

Fresh and good mix for parrots

What can I say. My bird loves it. Senegal parrot. Pictures were accurate.

Volkman is well-known for its parrot products, and since I've switched to buying all my bird products (except for their basic diet of fresh fruits and veg) on line, I bought a bag of Volkman Seed Featherglow Large Parrot. I use seed only once every couple of weeks, and only 1 Tbsp at a time for each bird, as a treat, so I've had this same bag for a while now, and it's still fresh and bug-free.I guess I didn't notice that there were peanuts in this mix before I bought it, and I don't give my birds peanuts, so I had to pick them all out.I only use sunflower seeds for training, maybe 20 per week, so I couldn't just take a scoop of seeds for their treats, without stopping to pick out the sunflower seeds from it. So one day, I sat down and separated out all the sunflower seeds. What was left was only maybe 2/3 of what I started with. So if you don't regularly feed sunflower seeds, this becomes a very expensive seed mix.Of course, this is just what I do with my personal birds, and if you feed your birds peanuts and sunflower seeds, then Volkman Featherglow is a good choice for you!

I have a Red & Green Macaw large. Have used multiple brands of feed through many sites. Volkman's Featherglow is a wonderful option for large birds. Every bag I have ordered has been fresh, no dust, no shake. Clean seeds, healthy mix of appropriate feed in here. I add this to a large container that I fill with nuts, dried fruit, dried beans and supplements, and pellets. This is a smart base. You will always fair well with Volkman's.

I like this because it doesn't look like Fruit Loops. My B&G gets it once or twice a week to supplement his 'people' food.

This is quality bird food. I switched my Umbrella Cockatoo to this and he eats it much better than his previous brand. Always smells good and fresh when I open the bag. Very happy with this product.

my own parrots don't like it, but they are used to a mostly pellet diet. i give my gerbil the sunflowerseeds for a treat. he's happy
