Volkman Avian Science Super Parrot Food, 20 lb

My African Grey (PrettyBird) had a problem with wasting his food. I switched to Volkman and he loves it. Now PrettyBird is FLY!!!!!!

My girlie lives this food and she is picky, still chucks the stuff she doesn’t like but enjoys this food overall.

This parrot seed has everything needed for a healthy bird. Size is great will last 2-3 weeks.

My African Grey loves this food. He does tend to pick through it. I prefer the grey bag over this one… it has a lot of large items such as chili and banana chips and such that my grey doesn’t eat. But he loves the seeds. Seems to be decent quality. I always put my bird seed in the freezer for storage to keep it fresh, and to kill any pantry moths. Got pantry moths pretty badly from bird food before. I’ll keep buying this when it’s less expensive than the grey food. The value is good for the brand overall.

While it's not perfect, it's better than most other seed brands I have found on the market. I wish it were certified organic or would at least have a non-GMO label. I remove the corn and peanuts because both are prone to mold, which might not always be visible, and I also have to assume the corn is GMO, which almost all non-organic corn grown in the US is. When I gave my parrot another seed brand, she initially rejected it and didn't want to eat her seed. She was visibly sad. She obviously likes her Volkman seed.

The food was great the first bag but the second bag looks like wild bird food. Absolutely no dried fruit in the second bag. I won't buy again.

Our birds are very healthy, this is the best bird food on the market. And has the best nutritional blend there is.

My parrot loves these and I mix with pellets that are for my eclectus it’s just as important to feed our love ones with quality products, I’m so glad I can order!

Good, natural mix of grains, seeds, dried fruit, veggies and nuts. My bird loves it and is a far better option than big-box pet store options for medium sized parrots.

I am more appreciative of theVolkman product now more than ever as I was traveling I tried some Kaytee parrot food and OMG IT WAS colorless, loaded with peanuts and sunflower seeds and just looked and smelled stale with the VOLKMAN . Super parrot I like to mix an even amount of the super Macaw. It gives such a better variety and the best of both worlds as my Macaw loves everything in this mix. Well, of course you know Macaw’s yeah they’ll throw it and they’ll push it around but there’s no reason to throw it away scoop it back up and give it to them again because she’ll go through it a second time and take what she wants and a little bit of dirt won’t hurt because don’t they have a gizzard that requires a little bit of sand or dirt to help crush their food, so Volkman all the way stay away from Kaytee

The bird's feathers are just so bright and shiny and they're happy and healthy It's the best food you can buy your parrot I feed mine nothing else

My bird loves it. This food has a variety of nut and seeds and also some chillis?and dry fruits. The smacks that comes out of the back is amazing my Maximillian pio us loves it

My son always buys Volkman, so I try to keep it a standard for his parrot. He likes this, but he does not have a problem throwing the seed out of his cage which is why I only gave it a 4 star. If he really likes it he'll eat it and won't throw it.

I have used volkman parrot food for over 10 years and the last 3 years it's getting worse it used to have good pieces of fruit orange peels in it none of this is in it anymore it's just about all sunflower seed anymore it's getting very bad

My parrot picks through this seed to get certain seeds but she likes it. I feel it’s over priced but all of the Volkman seed mixes are high. They are always very timely when shipped so I feel you get what you pay for and I’m willing to pay for the quality and timing on shipping
