Lafeber Avi-Era Bird Vitamins 12 Oz

I have been using this for a few years. Just a little bit in his water every day. I showed it to the vet when my bird went for his first wellness check and she said she liked it. Follow the instructions about dosing and do not overdose your bird.My little guy is happy and healthy

Just like when we take vitamins, it takes extended use for our bodies to make long lasting changes from the added nutrients. This is also seen in my bird's overall improvements. After a few months their feathers looked better, brighter, less brittle. Their beaks seemed healthier and their eyes brighter. It took some time for them to take it on food, so I offered a second water bowl with the vitamins mixed into the water and they seemed to adjust quicker that way. Overall, they aren't the cheapest vitamins but because of the seemingly better health I think it will reduce future vet bills. I like that I can supplements and not have to worry about them missing critical nutrients from being picky eaters.

I took my Blue Crowne Conure to the vet as she had developed a wing twitch as well as not eating very well and had gotten quiet and less engaging. The vet looked her over and said she had quite the molt going, but her strength looked good, her reactions, her wings, etc. all looked good. She said she wasn't reacting to the wing twitch. She suggested gabapentin for anxiety (which I was afraid to do), but she suggested these vitamins.I ordered the vitamins and got them within two days. I swear, within a week, she was more perky, less jittery, eating all her food and talking again and was sitting back in the front of the cage on her cord. I followed the directions and put in on her moist food (fruit) so it would stick to it. Also, I doubled it up for 2 weeks as it had suggested.It's been several weeks now and I am completely thrilled with these vitamins. It has made such a huge difference.Don't wait for your bird to get run down or ill before you start. Do it now to maintain good health.

This is the only vitamin my parrot like. Work very well. No harsh smells. Would like the bottle alittle bigger.

These are good quality vitamins and what was recommended. I sprinkle it on all 4 of my birds' food and they do not turn their beaks up at it. I do not notice a smell. It does not clump and is easy to sprinkle on their food. The only issue is the dosing scoop has been missing each time I've ordered it. Luckily I kept my scoop from when I purchased it at thebird store.

This is the first time I will express what I think about this type of product because all the previous ones were never enough for my pet and she rejected all of them so, it was very challenging making her to take her vitamins.This time with this new product that I tried, my life is better because I don't have to force her to get her food with supplements. She eats on her own and has never rejected anymore. I am at peace that she gets all the vits and nutrients she needs without forcing her.I am so pleased for this product that really worked.

I brought home a second conure, and found out she was a female when I saw my male with her. I immediately ordered these vitamins and put them in her water every day just in case she was going to lay. She ended up needing a nesting box and she created not only healthy, but enormous babies. Compared with my male who I had received early and hand fed, their offspring matured and were superp fliers with full feathers in record time. I truly believe these vitamins are to credit.

My exotic vet recommended this and I am so glad she did! My Amazon was losing her tail feathers regularly and she was not growing them back quickly. This solved the problems. You didn't much care for it in her water but she doesn't mind it sprinkled over her food.

I decided to try this vitamin for my two birds, a rescued African Grey that was nearly plucked bald when I got him and an over 30 year old dove, yes, over 30 years old! They are doing good on it and I can see a difference in both of their energy levels and feathers. I am hoping it is helping them in unseen ways. I do feed organic fresh chop and an organic formula pellet. I use his as another path to great health and long lives for them.

I read reviews and decided on this product. It arrived quickly. I was concerned my sweet Cockatoo wouldn’t drink the water I added it to as she is the PICKIEST parrot ever! Since she only eats her pelleted food and refuses fresh fruits or veggies or nuts- I wanted to ensure she’s getting more vitamins and minerals. The color does turn the water yellow. I have always used a green bowl so it doesn’t seem noticeable in my human eyes. She is still using the water because I still find her food in it from where she dips her food in the water.It does take 1 scoop (extremely tiny) per 2 oz of water. It seems like a lot of scooping and slight inconvenience to have to scoop 8 times for a 16 oz water daily. I’ve tried cutting water volume down. My girl finds it easier to drink when water bowl is filledTo top though. It may seems wasteful to some, but my babygirl getting her vitamins and minerals is more important than what is wasting.I do notice a slight vitamin smell. Again, she doesn’t seem to mind.As far as effectiveness and functionality of this product only time will tell and I can update later.

Purchased this brand because it has an excellent reputation. Needed it to support my budgie while s/he (?) was being switched from millet to Roudybush pellets.Makes water yellow. I added green paper under clear water dish as suggested by a reviewer, but what got my budgie willing to drink was what I call the flock trick. I made a fake budgie (my finger) stick his beak (fingertip) into the water, and my budgie then hopped over and drank. on the second day, the fake budgie was no longer needed.

I have been giving my Senegal Parrot this vitamin for over 2 years. It is a mildly sweet tasting powder that is easy to use. We sprinkle it on her apple (her favorite food) daily. She likes the taste and she gets the full dose without waste. Her feathers and colors are shiny and vibrant and she remains very healthy. Using this supplement for Sunny’s health is extremely reassuring.
