Mix Roudybush Formula 3 powder with warm water to create a smooth, creamy consistency suitable for hand-feeding. The recommended starting ratio is about 1 part formula to 2–3 parts water, adjusting thickness as the chick grows.
Always feed the formula fresh and warm (100–105°F / 37–40°C), discarding any unused portion after each feeding.
Feed chicks when their crop is nearly empty, following the feeding schedule appropriate for their species and age.
Transition gradually to solid foods or Roudybush pellets as the chick becomes more independent and begins to self-feed.

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. For longer freshness, keep sealed and refrigerate for up to 3 years or freeze for up to 6 years. Allow the bag to reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation, and discard if any spoilage is detected.

Nice big bag and successfully handfed baby keets with it

I was not a huge fan of this formula. It lacks probiotics which I had to supplement in to my baby parakeets formula. It did work successfully and its a good price for the size of the bag. I also had a hard time mixing it according to the directions. I had to YouTube videos for proper mixing.

The best baby formula ever.

I have used Roudybush formula 3 for over 4 years with my lovebirds. I love the quality of this product. My babies feathers are more vibrant and the babies seam a lot happier. Price is a lot but worth every penny.

disapointed

so i must say after looking at the ingredients and trying this product for the first time im very disappointed. basically it looks and smells like corn starch and it bulks together and does NOT mix well. I even tried to mix it with some Exact and still not a good deal. The birds didnt seem to care for it. I will not be buying this again. Hopefully i can find a rescue to give this too as i will not be using anymore.

Not overly impressed

I tried this when I normally go with Kaytee High Fat. The one plus I see is that it's easier to clean off the birds with this stuff. Otherwise I don't think the birds gained as fast as with the Kaytee.

I love this formula! (RoudyBush Formula 3 Bird Food) I started feeding my 3 week old parakeets who were not well nourished or getting enough food from mom. When I took over one was very weak and could hardly hold its head up or eat. Within two days both babies were thriving and chirping, and growing more feathers. They absolutely love this formula! I just have to make sure it’s not too hot or cold and not too thick or runny. They even start chirping when they hear me mixing their food getting excited.Win win! Easy to prepare.

Easy to prepare. Upon opening the product, pour a few cups for a week, keep refrigerated the unprepared formula. The rest keep should be kept in freezer. Otherwise, if kept out of fridge, there appears a quite unpleasant smell in the formula.

Clumpy

No matter how I try to mix this formula, I always get clumps. I've never had this problem with other formulas.

Best hand feeding food and supplement

I’ve used this hand feeding food for over 15 yrs. have tried others brands if I ran out in emergency and ended up with unhappy results. This food mixed is smooth and easily digested. Birds thrive on it and will always use this brand. Can use as dry sprinkled on top of pellets and seeds for great starter for birds on eggs and when young first hatched to give good start. Highly recommend it.

Great food for orphaned baby pigeons and doves.

So easy to use, I've used it for feeding baby African Greys in the past, but now it's really handy to have for orphaned baby pigeons and doves, as well. I keep it in my freezer and just take out a little as needed.

Make sure it’s not discolored!!

Came in a greenish color. I’ve the tried the 5lb bags and know this isn’t right. 2 stars only cause I was actually able to obtain a refund after finding out I wasn’t able to return it!

I have used this formula for years on sun conures and African grays with great success. It's very digestible and goes thru them fast so you have to feed more frequently when they are young. You have to be sure your formula is not too hot and not too cold. If you use boiling water, you will get a thickend, sometimes lumpy result that works but has to be thinned down. Best to use hot water,not boiling, in a prewarmed pitcher to a fairly thin consistency-not so thick that they have trouble clearing from the throat to breathe. Then I transfer to a small plastic rat/kitten nurser baby bottle with the nipple cut to produce a large bore opening. Works great.

I breed Lovebirds and also hand feed other birds sometimes as well and this is the best formula hands down ..its creamy and not gritty and is just all around amazing

I love it! it's keeping my sick 13 y/o parrot alive for the past month. She loves it too

All I can say is it works great. It's keeping my 13 year old parrot alive for the past month while I feed her with a 50 cc syringe.. Never had to hand feed for so long. I feed her every 3-4 hrs until Dark. She eats so much in the A.M. I love her and wish she would get better..She had a great vet. Roudybush is keeping her alive. I hope I can continue to feed her. It's costly, but very fair.

Excellent Product

I have used this product for about 25 years, it is the best. Just wish the price was alittle more reasonable, like it used to be. You get what you pay for applies! Love this product, keeping weight on baby birds, the ease of clean up and the product not staining babies faces and is easy to clean off. It is the best!
