This has been part of a semi-staple food in two of my Starling's diets (please do more research if you are feeding a Starling because they will need much more substance than this alone). My Cockatiel and parakeets like the "ground" up feed I make and the Pineapple Conures will eat some in a pinch.

My conures are very picky and it was very hard to get them to a pellet food but they took to this one without any issues. Now their feathers are more vibrant and they are more playful, and overall happy and healthy. I love this feed as it's not nearly as messy as seeds and they don't waste it like other brands. The bag seems small but it last 2 birds almost a month and the ziplock style bag keeps it fresh so definitely will keep buying it! Great Value for my Money!

I’ve been using Roudybush for my parrots for 20 years with excellent results! All my birds stay in perfect feather and good health. More importantly they love it and eat it well. For those new to it, check the company website for information not found on the bag, and help choosing the right formula for your specific bird. For instance, My Greys get 2/3 Maintenance mixed with 1/3 High Energy Breeder to give them the extra calcium they require. I also suggest starting with a smaller pellet size than suggested. We had a lot of waste with the recommended medium size, but have no waste with the small size for my Greys and Amazon’s.The true answer to what’s the best pellet diet is “the one your bird will eat”! All of mine love Roudybush!

I was hoping that my young hand fed birds would take to this as an early weaning food. They do eat it but they don't quite "dig" it, if that makes sense. I had to mix with other pelleted food. It does do well when mixed with a little warmed up chop mix. Also, my actual breeder birds who are used to pelleted food do consume it readily to feed to their babies in the nest. The babies in the nest are strong and healthy.The "crumble" sizing is highly variable. Some are like half of a mini pellets, some is almost like dust. If I had to do over I would choose the mini pellets for my breeder green cheek conures and weaning babies.

This product is very good for correct health body condition. When the birds molt they need all the food to rebuild the feathers.

I did not mean to order this, as it is a higher energy food, and I have a non-breeding parrot. I clicked on the wrong package, but all is good. He prefers the regular pellets, with less energy. However, He has never turned down a rowdybush pellet. He prefers these plain crunchy, crumbly pellets to eat and to play with, to any of the rainbow colored alternatives.Good value all round.

I only use Roudybush pellets for my breeders and its always kept them happy and healthy.

I feed my Timneh African Grey mostly the Roudybush daily maintenance nibles pellets, moistened with water and with a few tiny bits of craisin added which I break up with my fingernail. The small nibles size absorbs water pretty well and he likes it like that (I used to feed him various cooking diets but this is so much simpler). All of the different sizes of Daily Maintenance are the same formula so it doesn't matter if it's got a canary, a budgie and a finch rather than a parrot on the bag. He's never been very keen on any type of dry pellet food but sometimes that's the practical choice since it's very fast and easy to throw plain pellets in his bowl when I have to rush out of the house, and isn't going to spoil during the day. So for the relatively small amount of dry pellets he does eat I give him this size small High Energy Breeder that has extra fat to make it more palatable to him and also extra calcium that greys need. Seems like a great solution. Greys supposedly can handle a little more fat in their diet than some other species but I doubt High Energy Breeder would be suitable as a sole everyday diet for any bird that isn't breeding. It's a minority part of my bird's diet. I really like the Roudybush products. He does throw the dry pellets out of the bowl some but a lot of the time he does actually eat them. I've had my bird for 25 years or so and it's only now that I've found a solution where he'll eat mostly pellets, thanks to Roudybush's array of options. Of course get gets in shell almonds, fruit, people food and such as well.
