Once converted to Harrison's Bird Foods birds should be fed in a planned daily regimen of individual meals.
Feed fresh food daily, do not "top off".

Harrison's is committed to protecting your bird from artificial preservatives. Here are some suggestions to keep your food fresh without preservatives:

Squeeze all air out of the bag and zip it shut at the top.
If the zip lock gets removed or damaged, fold the top over several times and close with a clip.
Keep food in original bag. Do not repackage into plastic bags or containers.
Use contents within 8 weeks of opening bag.

My African Grey, Lola, Loves this food. Fed along with her veggies and some fruits, she is very healthy.

90 percent of what my parrots eat is Harrison‚Äôs. I use the Harrison High Potency for times of stress or moulting. My Congo African Grey has been on this since a baby weaned. He is 15 years old now. And my Caique eats the same nugget size and he too eats this food. 90 percent of their food is Harrison Pellets and 10 percent is fresh fruits and nuts.

Admittedly I only purchased Harrison's "Pepper" Lifetime because Amazon was out of stock on the regular Lifetime pellets. I didn't expect my Eclectus to take to it right away because he's always been a picky eater and very neophobic.When he first saw it , he just touched it with his beak avoided it eating his old pellets. All I had to do to get him to give it an honest try was place some of the pellets on my dinner plate. Pretend to eat it with him on my shoulder and once he was begging for a taste of my dinner I gave him the pepper pellet. After actually tasting it he absolutely loved it. Later that day I poured only the pepper pellets in his bowl and he wiped it clean. Suffice it to say I'm thrilled.Much like the rest of Harrison's pellets, this blend features only healthy ingredients, all "organic" without preservatives so no guilt about making this 50% of his caloric intake.I hope your parrot takes to it as quickly as mine did, it's good stuff!

It is my birds basic diet. She likes it. However, over the last few years,I have gone from paying about $35 a bag to over $50. I have not seen the product go on sale in a long time. I am having to buy the smaller bags simply because it is becoming unaffordable. I don't know how my bird will react but I can't keep this up.

My chestnut macaw loves this almost more than anything else.... at least more than any other pellet food.
